A33 Bus Rapid Transit consultation

Bus rapid transit is a mode of mass rapid transit and describes a high-capacity urban public-transit system.

We are pleased to share that the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route, first introduced several years ago, is now being extended along the A33 outbound. The new section begins just after the traffic lights (near Porcelanosa/ Skoda garage) and runs all the way to the Bennet Road roundabout.

This extension will provide much faster and more reliable journeys from Reading town centre to Green Park, with improved service to Kennet Island, Reading Gate, and the surrounding industrial areas.

We are committed to making sustainable transport more convenient and efficient for everyone in our community.
