Consultation on the Renewal of Reading Borough Council's Statement of Gambling Licensing Principles

The Gambling Act 2005 requires that the Council review its Gambling Policy every three years. The current policy period ends on 31/01/2025. As part of this process, we must consult with:

1. Thames Valley Police
2. One or more persons who appear to the authority to represent the interests of persons carrying on gambling businesses in the authority’s area
3. One or more persons who appear to the authority to represent the interests of persons who are likely to be affected by the exercise of the authority’s functions under the Act.

The consultation will run for 4 weeks from 16/18/2024 to 13/09/2024.

All comments will be considered and you shall receive a response from Reading Borough Council's Licensing team within 10 working days.

The final decision on the adoption of this policy will be made by full council in January 2025.
