Kings Road East Bound Bus Lane consultation

Proposed alterations to the outbound (eastbound) bus lane on Kings Road, seeking to reduce incidents involving casualties at junctions.

We are carrying out a formal statutory consultation to propose changes to the existing outbound (eastbound) bus lane on Kings Road.

The changes are being proposed to enable more gradual turning movements at three key junctions, intended to reduce risks of incidents involving casualties. The proposed changes are not expected to negatively impact traffic flow for vehicles authorised to use the bus lane.

This consultation will take place between 24 September - 15 October 2026. Please see the drawing below .

Officers will consider the content of any objections received and have delegated authority to decide the outcome for this proposal. This delegation was granted by Traffic Management Sub-Committee at their meeting on 10 September 2026.
