The Mount Draft Conservation Area Appraisal

The Council is consulting on a draft appraisal for The Mount Conservation Area. This appraisal has been drafted by the Reading Conservation Area Advisory Committee.

The draft appraisal details why the area’s character and justify its designation as a Conservation Area, as well as an action plan for preserving and enhancing the area.

We are publishing this draft appraisal for consultation, and we welcome your views. Comments should be submitted by e-mail to planningpolicy@reading.gov.uk, by completing the online survey or by post to Planning Policy Team, Reading Borough Council, Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Reading, RG1 2LU.

Please ensure that comments have been submitted by Friday 21st August 2026.
